Innovation History:
Over 130 years of service, Kroger has pioneered and implemented the newest technologies into their stores to better serve their customers. In keeping with this tradition, Kroger is re-imagining the conventional health department into a total health care experience with new technologies to provide the best experiences and services to its loyal customers.
Kroger Total Health is designed to improve the holistic medical experience by providing simple spaces. The new design features clean lines and shapes which create an easy to navigate departments that provide a stressfree experience for the user. Kroger Total Health will build on brand innovation by implementing new systems that enhance user experience and improve the functions of the space.
A Clear Destination:
Kroger Total Health re-imagined the conventional health department to provide the most personalized service to cater to the needs of the modern family.
The space is designed to be an inclusive environment which allows maximum enjoyment for all customers.
Health is beautiful:
The Beauty Care section is the first stop in the Kroger Total Health Experience. Customers are greeted by a beauty care expert who will provide them with beauty tips and product recommendations. Two beauty bars create an opportunity to test the latest products. Flexible fixtures with built-in screens provide an excellent opportunity to display brand names and promotions.
First Class Service:
Once the visitor enters the Kroger Total Health department, he or she will be welcomed by a large media wall displaying images from Kroger’s history archive. The media wall is a focal point at the end of the circulation path along with the Customer orientation zone. Service staff will help customers use the Kroger Plus Virtual System where users can scan prescriptions, issue member rewards cards, and order from the Kroger and VitaCost online catalogues.
Healthy Families:
Upon arrival at The Little Clinic, customers are welcomed into a bright, simple, and engaging space that can accommodate the whole family. The waiting area provides a fun environment for kids and parents to relieve some of their stress. A flexible central seating area is dedicated for families while side seating is movable to provide space for wheelchairs. Two consulting rooms provide private and easy access to chat with a physician or a pharmacist.
Healthy Families:
The Kroger Total Health Pharmacy is designed with simplicity and usability in mind. The signage is back lit and high for ease of visibility. The counters can
be accessed from the main circulation path and the adjacent seating area is optimal for waiting while prescriptions are filled..
Simple Happiness:
Customers can now shop for their personal items with ease. The new design allows for simple interaction between the user and the product by taking attention away from the fixture and focusing on the product itself. The display is designed to provide an excellent wayfinding solution, with backlit signage that makes it easy to navigate the aisles.
Perfect Image:
A modern store would not be complete without clear consideration for branding and image. The new space boasts multiple opportunities to enhance the shopping experience by implementing simple atmospheric mood lighting and light boxes. These elements can be used to further expand brand recognition by using colour and image projections.
